Armenian media: Pashinyan no longer talks about self-determination

Before the 44-day war with Azerbaijan in 2020, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the UN General Assembly that “the people of Karabakh should be able to determine their status without restrictions”, however, in his recent address he did not mention the same self-determination.

Caliber.Az reports, citing the Armenian media, that he called on the international community to provide support “so that UN humanitarian missions can freely enter Karabakh to assess the humanitarian and human rights situation there, as well as guarantee the protection of cultural heritage.”

“We are determined to bring peace to the region, but we need the full support of the international community, which will remain close to a sovereign and democratic state,” Pashinyan said.
