Japan to cancel nearly all coronavirus travel restrictions for tourists

A Japanese government spokesman said that starting from October 11, it will cancel almost all entry restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This was announced at a briefing by a representative of the Japanese government, Gazeta.ru reports.

“With the exception of people with symptoms of coronavirus, for those entering with a certificate of triple vaccination of one of the WHO recognized vaccines or a negative test for coronavirus taken no earlier than 72 hours before departure, the requirement to take a test in Japan is waived. The existing entry limit of up to 50,000 people per day is also being canceled,” he said.
