Azerbaijan football federation to extend contract with national team's Italian manager

Next week, the Executive Committee of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) is expected to meet to decide on the future of Italian coach Gianni De Biasi as the manager of the Azerbaijani national football team. His contract expires on September 30.
Azerisport.com reports, citing its source, that the contract with the 66-year-old specialist will be extended. The new contract will be signed by the end of November 2023.
In November next year that the qualifying round for EURO 2024 will wrap up. The Italian has been coaching the men's national football team since 2020.
