Pentagon orders modification of anti-mortar radars for Ukraine

The US Department of Defence has signed a contract with SRCTec LLC, based in Syracuse, New York, to modify the UKR/TPQ-50 radar systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The corresponding document was published on the Pentagon's official website, according to Gazeta.ru.
According to the document, the completion date is June 30, 2023, the contract value is $12 million as part of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative for the 2022 financial year.
The TPQ-50 radar systems are mounted on tripods or armoured vehicles and may detect positions of mortars at a distance from 8 to 10 kilometres and transmit their coordinates to the fire control systems.
