Azerbaijani grandmaster Mamedyarov plays another match at Meltwater tournament

    Azerbaijani chess grandmaster Shahriyyar Mamedyarov played another party at the ninth and last stage of the online tournament “Meltwater Champions Chess Tour”.

    He played against the US Wesley So in the fifth round of the final stage with the party finishing with a 0:3 loss for the 37-year-old grandmaster Mamedyarov, according to Report

    He will face the Russian-born Dutch Anish Giri in the next round of the tournament which will come to an end on November 20 with a prize money pool of US$1.6 million.
