Azerbaijan detains 47 border violators over last month

The Azerbaijani State Border Service continued taking measures to protect the state border, and combat smuggling, illegal migration, and drug trafficking in November 2022.
Some 47 people were detained for violating the state border, 27 of whom were citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 14 citizens of Pakistan, one Turkish citizen, one citizen of Liberia, one citizen of the Russian Federation, three citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran in November 2022, the State Border Service told Caliber.Az.
Around 29 people were detained while trying to cross the state border with fake passports, visas, and dates as part of the fight against illegal migration.
About 1,288 people were detained for violating the rules of the border regime, and the corresponding measures were taken.
