Raw materials imports for production in Karabakh to be VAT-free for next 10 years

Imports of raw materials and materials required for production in Azerbaijan's liberated territories will be VAT-free for 10 years.

Amendments to the Tax Code were submitted for discussion at parliament's December 9 session, Report informs.

Under the amendments, the import of raw materials and materials required in the areas of production activity, the list of which is approved by the body established by the relevant executive authority, residents of the territories liberated from Armenian occupation are exempt from VAT for a period of 10 years from January 1, 2023.

After discussion, the amendments were put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
