Israel considers drone attack on Isfahan ammunition plant "successfully" carried out

Israel considers its drone strike inside Iran on an advanced weapons-production facility an attack that Israel believes achieved its goals.

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the case, the operation carried out on the morning of January 29 was executed by Israel’s intelligence agency, the Mossad, and targeted a defence site in Isfahan in central Iran, hitting a building in four different areas with precision strikes. "Satellite photos showed what appeared to be minor damage to the site’s roof, but the sources called the mission successful, without elaborating", the publication writes.

The account by Israel contradicts the statement by Iranian officials who have said the country’s air defenses fended off an attempted attack on the ammunition depot, which according to them caused only minimal damage.
