Moscow sees no winner in Russia-US standoff

    REGION  24 March 2023 - 13:12

Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev believes that when comparing the Russian and US armies, it is incorrect to try to determine which of them is stronger.

He noted that this can only be done during the conflict. However, in the event of such a collision, "there will be no winner."

“To understand which army is the first, which is the second, which is the twenty-first, is possible only in the process of a real conflict. This is the first. Second. It is incorrect to say that the US army is the first, our second, for one simple reason. If these armies go to war, how are we going to determine the winner? It is quite obvious that in this case there will be no winner,” he said in an interview with Russian journalists and users of VKontakte, published on his Telegram channel.

According to Medvedev, "no matter how many missiles are shot down over the US or over the Russian Federation", some of them will inflict a guaranteed defeat, the so-called direct or counter-reciprocal.

“As a result of this, the consequences will be horrendous. And here it will be impossible to say which army is the first and which is the second. The army that fights is strong,” he concluded.

He noted that Russia is now "at war with 3 million 600 thousand representatives of NATO armies."

“They participate, of course, in a hybrid format, but they participate and, in fact, they no longer hide it. And with a population of 800 million people, which supplies equipment, weapons and money to the Kyiv regime,” Medvedev said.
