Armenia to build new bridge on highway leading to Turkish border
REGION 30 May 2023 - 12:37
The Armenian authorities will build a new bridge near the settlement of Lusagyuh, on the M3 highway of interstate significance.
The remarks came from the Road Department Foundation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Armenian media.
The highway originates from the border of Turkey and reaches the border of Georgia.
Currently, the bridge is completely dismantled, a new one will be built instead. It is planned to install the bridge's foundations and equip it with reinforced concrete slabs. The state finances the construction.
To recap, in his message of congratulation to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan expressed his hope for the normalisation of bilateral ties.
"Congratulations to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election. Looking forward to continuing working together towards full normalisation of relations between our countries," Pashinyan tweeted on May 28.
