Limping Seyran in the role of "prosecutor" of Azerbaijan
.. who is impatiently expected in The Hague

    ANALYTICS  14 August 2023 - 16:44

How would you react to the news of a serial killer, such as Andrey Chikatilo, who has murdered at least 43 people for his own sexual pleasure, becoming the new face of a perfume line or a children's summer camp? Many would call this black humour at its most cynical. This is exactly the kind of feeling that the statements of Seyran Ohanyan, former Defence Minister of Armenia and current Head of the "Armenia" parliamentary fraction awakes in me.

This is that same Ohanyan who named the line of defence in the former occupied territories of Azerbaijan after himself, which the Azerbaijani army managed to penetrate in the very first days of the Patriotic War. It is the same Ohanyan, who was the acting Head of the Armenian Defence Ministry in 2016, when our troops gave Armenia its first lesson in force and strength by crushing their military units within 4 days.

At that time, Ohanyan, the Limping One, along with Sargsyan, was frightfully giving incoherent excuses in an attempt to cover up the demolishment of the army and present it almost as his own victory. Behind all their words stood one thing - the fear of losing power. Which they did lose it. First Sargsyan dismissed Ohanyan, and then the new authorities of the Republic of Armenia are accusing him of corruption and consider him to basically be the main culprit for the defeat in the 44-day war and is generally only rarely remembered. When this happens, though, his name is usually brought up in such a context, any self-respecting media would refrain from repeating it.

The bench of the International Criminal Court is longing after this criminal, thief, loser, and murderer who has sent a letter on behalf of his party addressed to the parliamentary assemblies of the European Council, European Parliament, NATO, OSCE, CIS and to the Co-Chairs of Euronest. Not only did Ohanyan dare to remind them all of himself, but he also tried lunging at Azerbaijan.

In his letter, he painted a grim image of the "critical situation, which has unfolded in 'Artsakh' " - of people fainting while waiting in lines for bread, and a sharp increase in miscarriages due to malnutrition. It is not even worth wasting time wondering, whether he is lying. Armenians themselves, residing in Armenia as well as the Azerbaijani Economic Region of Karabakh have refuted these harmful tales a long time ago.

Even weddings are being held at full blast in Khankandi, as is the custom in the East. All restaurants and cafes are operating as usual, not even having cut down on their working hours. Not to mention, that Azerbaijan is proposing to solve any issues regarding the delivery of any necessities to Khankandi via the Aghdam road. Yet Arayik Harutunyan and Ruben Vardanyan are hindering the implementation of this act of goodwill, each for their own reasons. And now, as a result, the Armenian side has blocked the Aghdam road and basically shot themselves in the foot.

And on such a bleak background, provoked by the separatist leaders and the leadership of the Republic of Armenia, these same subjects are imitating the vigorous "rescue of the Armenians of Karabakh". The representatives of official Yerevan, as well as various Western officials and politicians, both former and current, that have been hired by the Armenian Diaspora cheered up. Seyran Mushegovich also showed up, who is considered by everyone in Armenia to be a pushover. It is therefore quite possible that it was his wife who forced the former "commander" to make notice of himself.

Which he did. Why not? It won't be to an Armenian court to whom he has to defend the plundering of military depots and the re-selling of arms and ammunition right and left. It is not bottles of mineral water that are being thrown around at the Armenian parliament. And here his favourite theme came into play - to talk nonsense about Azerbaijan, using myths about "Artsakh", recognized by none, and playing around with the concept of "genocide". All of this, I would like to emphasize, comes from the mouth of a man who personally took part in the genocide of the civilian Azerbaijani population in Khojaly.

The military prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan initiated criminal proceedings against Ohanyan under Article 103 (Genocide) of the criminal code a few years ago. An international warrant for his arrest has been issued and our country has already proved that it can catch those who committed crimes against the peaceful Azerbaijani population and bring them to Baku. Armenian war criminals have already understood this.

I am convinced, that Seyran Ohanyan is aware of this too. He knows and is afraid of it. So it is unlikely that he will ever dare to visit those countries, where the offices of the organizations he is bombarding with foolish and false messages about Azerbaijan’s alleged guilt are located. The very fact that Ohanyan thought of concocting them is an example of the surging cynicism of a war criminal. Who, by the way, played right into our hands with his actions, for there is no better way to discredit something than by involving Seyran Ohanyan in it. Especially if it is a campaign that in itself is false, primitive and pointless.
