Armenian first lady’s blatant lies in Ukraine
Kyiv’s "gratitude" to Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan notices and values everything. If it is not immediately expressed publicly, it does not mean that the conclusions were not made. Everything has its time. Let’s mention the facts.
Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, took part in the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv.
The fact of her participation in Kyiv’s event raises questions because Hakobyan’s husband leads the country that is actively assisting Russia, which is at war with Ukraine, bypassing Western sanctions. Armenia is providing Russia with electronics and other products as Russia was deprived of them due to Western sanctions.
Of course, Kyiv knows this. Nevertheless, Hakobyan was invited to Ukraine despite Armenia's support of separatism in the Garabagh Economic Region of Azerbaijan, where tens of thousands of ethnic Armenians having Armenian passports illegally reside.
These illegal immigrants in the Azerbaijani territory publicly refuse Baku’s food shipments, preferring to continue replicating stories about a "humanitarian catastrophe" in Khankandi. Covered by chauvinism they claim that they are starving and reject food only because they are Azerbaijani ones.
These individuals having anti-Turkish sentiment are supported by armed separatists who have settled in Garabagh and are financed by Yerevan. Knowing this the organisers of the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen invited such a politically odious person as Anna Hakobyan.
After all, the country that has experienced and continues experiencing all the troubles of military aggression and occupation shows hospitality.
While Ukrainians are losing their loved ones and suffering various hardships in this war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska are shaking hands with the wife of the leader of the same aggressor country as the one that brought huge suffering to Ukraine.
It turned out later that the invitation to the international forum was used by Anna Hakobyan to publicly slander Azerbaijan. As always, any international platform becomes a pillar on which the Armenians are trying to pin Azerbaijan by denigrating it. This time Kyiv has become a venue for disseminating false speeches and openly anti-Azerbaijani narratives.
In particular, Hakobyan began to talk about the guilt of adults towards children who died in wars. Moreover, she compared Ukrainian children who died on their own land as a result of military aggression by Russia, and Armenian children, who were allegedly fired upon by Azerbaijanis.
"It's abnormal when children are scared of the bombings," Pashinyan's wife said.
Meanwhile, the Armenian cities were not bombed during the 44-day second Garabagh war (2020). However, civilians in such Azerbaijani cities as Ganja, Barda and Mingachevir were attacked by Armenia using shells and bombs. Azerbaijani old people and children died from the Armenian military’s shelling. Of course, Hakobyan did not specify the nationality of the dead.
This cunning Armenian woman arrived in Kyiv only to use the platform provided by the Ukrainian side to spread lies about “genocide”, “blockade” and “120,000 starving residents of Garabagh” who are on the verge of death because of the “blockade”.
Hakobyan read her speeches from a piece of paper. That is, these were pre-prepared theses. The organisers of the Third Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen should have read them to avoid scandal.
However, this was not done. Hakobyan voiced a blatant lie about Azerbaijanis in the capital of Ukraine, to which our country has repeatedly rendered political support and humanitarian assistance. Dozens of Azerbaijanis have already died for Ukraine’s territorial integrity. What conclusions can the Azerbaijanis draw now? This incident could and should have been prevented by the Ukrainian leadership.
