Azerbaijan, China discuss renewable energy sources

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with the President of China Energy International Group Qiao Xubin.

The sides discussed cooperation on accelerating green energy transition in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports citing the ministry.

Information was provided on measures to develop the energy sector in Azerbaijan in line with the goals of fighting global climate change and initiatives to create renewable energy sources. The importance of expanding cooperation with China Energy International Group which has advanced experience in this field, to accelerate the green energy transition and the introduction of renewable energy technologies was emphasised. In this regard, the company's innovative solutions can contribute to the efficient utilisation of Azerbaijan's rich renewable green resources.

The sides discussed the development of cooperation in the field of green energy, mastering energy conservation technologies, and prospects for joint activities.
