Israeli UAV strikes power line in southern Lebanon

An Israeli Air Force unmanned aerial vehicle targeted a high-voltage power line supplying electricity to settlements in the Litani River basin area of southern Lebanon.

The strike occurred near the town of Al-Teibi, resulting in the disruption of energy infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports citing foreign media.

Repair crews have been dispatched to assess and address the damage, although specifics regarding the extent of the damage to pylons and cables have not been disclosed.

Earlier in the day, Israeli artillery reportedly engaged in heavy fire across Lebanese territory in response to attacks by Hezbollah fighters on military positions along the border. Media also reported the use of phosphorus munitions by Israeli forces in strikes on Lebanese villages in the Wadi Hamul Valley, which led to fires affecting olive groves and forested areas in several locations.

The towns of Bint Jbeil, Konin, Kfar Kila, Mays al-Jabal, Duhayrah, Al-Hiyam, and Edeisa were among those targeted, prompting emergency responses as ambulances rushed to affected areas.
