Armenia rejects signing CSTO 2024 budget
Claims no financial obligations

Armenia has officially notified the CSTO Secretariat that it will not sign the organization's 2024 budget, asserting it holds no financial obligations to the collective structure.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia confirmed this decision in response to queries from local news outlet Factor.am.
"The Republic of Armenia has officially notified the CSTO Secretariat of its decision to abstain from signing the CSTO SC decision 'On the CSTO 2024 budget' and from participating in the financing of the organization's activities as outlined in the decision. Consequently, Armenia has not assumed any financial commitments pertaining to the funding stipulated by the aforementioned decision," a statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
This announcement follows earlier remarks from the Russian Foreign Ministry suggesting Moscow's expectation that Yerevan would continue to fulfill its financial obligations under the CSTO Charter.
