UN secretary general to visit Uzbekistan for high-level talks

The press service of Uzbekistan's president has said that the republic's authorities are expecting United Nations (UN) Secretary General António Guterres to pay an official visit to the republic from June 30 to July 1.
The statement said that Guterres' official visit is to take place at the invitation of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The programme of Guterres' stay in Tashkent envisages holding high-level talks, the publication said.
During the visit, the UN Secretary General will also visit a number of industrial and social facilities, hold bilateral meetings and events, the press service added.
