Ministry: Azerbaijan allocates over $9 billion for liberated lands

Head of the Department of Territorial Restoration and Development at the Azerbaijani Economy Ministry Zamin Badirkhanov has stated that over 16 billion manats ($9.4 billion) were allocated for the liberated Azerbaijani territories under the state programme to date.

“The majority of these funds have been allocated for the construction of roads and social infrastructure,” Badirkhanov noted, Caliber.Az reports citing the local media.

“We actively support and encourage private sector involvement in restoration and construction efforts. Presently, several entrepreneurs are engaged in these areas, both through public-private partnerships and direct investments,” he said.

The state programme, which has allocated over 16 billion manats (approximately $9.4 billion) to date, reflects Azerbaijan's commitment to rebuilding and modernising the liberated territories. This substantial investment aims to not only repair the war-torn infrastructure but also to create a sustainable economic environment that attracts private sector participation. Public-private partnerships and direct investments are being actively encouraged to accelerate the restoration process, with several entrepreneurs already contributing to the development efforts. This collaborative approach underscores the government's intention to foster a resilient and prosperous future for the liberated districts.
