Baku hosts Azerbaijani-Uzbek business forum

Baku is hosting a business forum with the participation of women entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Azerbaijani MP Hijran Huseynova and Speaker of Uzbekistan’s Parliament Tanzila Narbaeva are attending the event. 

The purpose of the business forum is to strengthen the growing economic and trade ties between the two countries, get new opportunities for cooperation, and discuss joint projects, according to Report. 

At the event, the Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Export Promotion and Investments Associations (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev, Chairperson of the Women's Entrepreneurship Development Association in Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva spoke from the Azerbaijani side.

The founder of the GPZ-27 software Sevara Latypova, the founder of the XumoSB company Sitorabonu Abdurasulova, and the Deputy Chairperson of the board of the People's Bank of Uzbekistan Gulzoda Rashidova spoke from the Uzbek side.

There are plans to sign memorandums and agreements, as well as to hold bilateral meetings as part of the business forum.
