The next issue of the military and analytical project of Caliber.Az website's YouTube channel features a special report from the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border.

The authors of the story tell about the impregnable height of Babagar (700.6 metres above sea level), located at the junction of the borders of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, as well as the situation in the border villages and cities of Western Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the Armenian military cherished plans to take control of the heights on the border (including Babagar) in order to control the strategic Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline. To do this, in 2019, the tactics of "creeping advancement" began to be implemented in order to position trenches and posts even closer. To counterbalance this, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan has created more than 5 kilometres of trenches with posts, and all attempts by Armenians to seize advantageous positions at strategic heights have failed. Moreover, as a result, the Armenians suffered heavy losses.

Azerbaijan was able to protect not only strategic energy communications but also residents of the border villages of Gazakh District. The attempts of the Armenians to check the combat capability of the Azerbaijani border guards and to involve external forces in the conflict failed miserably…

Azerbaijan continues to increase the number of border posts and develop road infrastructure, strengthening its readiness to fight back against any Armenian provocations.
