Airliner from Kutaisi to Barcelona returns mid-flight due to bomb threat

An airliner, which was flying from Kutaisi to Barcelona, returned to the airport because of a report of an explosive device on board.

"A few minutes after takeoff, the flight Kutaisi - Barcelona returned to Kutaisi International Airport," TASS reports, citing the press service of the Georgian airport.

The air harbour specified that the reason for the change of course was the information of Wizz Air about the possible presence of explosives on board. The crew decided to return.

Law enforcers and emergency services are working at the scene. Local public pages published footage of passengers hurriedly leaving the aircraft on the gangway.
