Azerbaijan and China bolster economic ties with new investment cooperation working group
A working group on investment cooperation will be established within the framework of the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
This initiative is highlighted in the "Joint Declaration on Establishing Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China," adopted on 3 July during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Astana, Caliber.Az reports.
Both nations have committed to supporting their enterprises in mutual investment and business development in Azerbaijan and China. This includes promoting participation in free economic zones and industrial parks within both countries.
China has expressed its support for developing Azerbaijan's investment cooperation in several key sectors, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, green energy, electric power, high technology and innovation, artificial intelligence, and space.
The declaration emphasizes the creation of favorable conditions and necessary amenities for enterprises from both countries. Furthermore, it highlights a joint commitment to ensuring the safety of cooperation projects and the personnel involved in these enterprises.
