Azerbaijan, Croatia mull development of ties
On May 18, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament), met with Davorko Vidovic, Vice Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, who was on a visit to Azerbaijan to attend a special meeting of the Parliament dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Sahiba Gafarova thanked Davorko Vidovic for attending the special meeting, Milli Majlis Press and Public Relations Department told APA.
The meeting included an exchange of views on the development of ties between Azerbaijan and Croatia in various areas and other issues of mutual interest.
At the meeting, the sides noted that Azerbaijan and Croatia are friendly countries and united by relations of strategic partnership. Mutual visits serve for the further development of bilateral cooperation.
The Deputy Chairman of the Croatian Parliament expressed his gratitude for the invitation and high level of hospitality. Davorko Vidovic stressed that his country is interested in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan. He said that during his visit to our country, he held meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, got acquainted with the Azerbaijani brand ASAN xidmət in the public services sector, and visited Aghdam district liberated from the Armenian occupation.
