Azerbaijan increases non-oil exports
The total value of Azerbaijan's exports amounted to $22.6 billion from January to July 2022, and in the non-oil sector - $1.7 billion.
Compared to the same period last year, the country's non-oil exports increased by 24.2 per cent, Report informs citing the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms.
In the first seven months of this year, fruits and vegetables increased by 11.5 per cent compared to the same period last year and amounted to $376.9 million. The export of chemical products increased by 3.6 times, aluminium and related products - by 99 per cent, ferrous metals and related products - by 28.1 per cent, cotton fibre - by 5.4 per cent, and tea - by 57.2 per cent.
The total export value for July 2022 was $4.1 billion. Exports in the non-oil sector increased by 17.2 per cent to $224.6 million. In June 2022, food exports increased by 43.7 per cent to $61.7 million and non-food products by 9.5 per cent to $162.9 million.
