Azerbaijan relocates 62 more residents to liberated Fuzuli city Great Return in full swing
The return of former IDPs to the reconstructed Fuzuli continues in accordance with the instruction of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Caliber.Az reports that on October 13 another group of displaced citizens was sent to Fuzuli city from Gobu Park 3 residential complex in Garadagh district of Baku.
At this stage, 22 more families - 62 people - are being relocated to Fuzuli city.
"Today I am overwhelmed with a sense of joy. I am turning 73 years old, and I am returning to Fizuli. Returning to my hometown was a birthday present for me," Laura Pashayeva, who is returning to Fuzuli said.
She noted that she was forced to leave her home at the age of 42.
"The feeling of joy overwhelming me cannot be conveyed in words. We are returning to Fuzuli after 30 years. Today our long-awaited dream is being realised," Pashayeva said.
The Fuzuli resident also thanked President Ilham Aliyev and all heroic sons of the Motherland, and wished repose to the souls of the Martyrs, thanks to whom the Azerbaijani lands were liberated from occupation.
The relocating IDPs will move to newly built houses in the city of Fuzuli.
So far, the permanent residence of 208 families or 749 people has been provided in Fuzuli.
As a result of the victory of the Azerbaijani army in the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020, the former IDPs have been voluntarily, safely and with dignity returning to their houses after 30 years of forcible separation.
