Azerbaijan’s FM addresses informal dialogue on climate finance On margins of 79th session of UN General Assembly
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has addressed the informal ministerial dialogue on the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG) on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The session focused on enhancing international cooperation and mobilizing resources to address climate change effectively, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry made a post on its X account, Caliber.Az reports.
“On the sidelines of the UNGA79, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov attended and addressed Informal Ministerial Dialogue on the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG).
During his speech, Minister Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's COP29 vision of enhancing ambition and enabling action by focusing on climate finance to deliver a fair and ambitious outcome at COP29.
Talking about several COP29 presidency initiatives, Minister Bayramov also underlined the contribution of informal dialogues to discussion of several important matters, such as NCQG, as well as finding common ground,” the post by the ministry reads.
