Azerbaijan seizes about 5 kg of drugs hidden near state border with Iran PHOTO

Azerbaijani State Border Service officers have seized about 5kg of drugs hidden near the state border on the territory of Azerbaijan.

On 2 November, based on information provided by Iran's border representative office, it was established that narcotic drugs were hidden near the state border on the territory of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az informs, citing the State Border Service.

As a result of search operations carried out by the Horadiz border units near Khudaferin village of Jabrayil district, 4 kg 690 g of narcotic substances (4.345 kg of marijuana and 305 gramme of methamphetamine) were found and seized.

Operational and investigative measures are currently ongoing.
