Azerbaijani medical team joins efforts in Kazakhstan to aid Aktau plane crash survivors
Azerbaijani medical professionals and the victims' relatives are being sent to Kazakhstan to assist in the treatment of three Azerbaijani nationals injured in the Azerbaijan Airlines crash near Aktau.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Health confirmed that while medical care remains a priority, the emotional well-being of the injured is equally important for their recovery, Caliber.Az reports, citing Health Ministry.
The medical team will work closely with local healthcare providers to coordinate treatment, ensuring the best possible care for the injured.
Relatives are also expected to provide vital moral support to aid the patients' recovery and help them return to normal life.
If the condition of the survivors permits, plans are in place for their swift medical evacuation to Baku, where they will receive further treatment.
Notably, on December 27, fourteen individuals who were injured in the crash of an AZAL airline plane in Aktau, Kazakhstan, were transported to Azerbaijan for medical treatment.
According to a statement from Yeni Klinik, where the victims are being treated, one of the injured remains in critical condition and is being cared for in intensive care.
While the patient's condition is stable, it remains serious. The other 13 victims are reported to be in stable, though varying, conditions, with injuries ranging from moderate to minor. Medical treatment is ongoing in hospital.
