03 September 2024 09:41

Azerbaijan's Prime Minister, Ali Asadov, and Serbia's Foreign Minister, Marko Đurić, held a significant meeting on September 2, underscoring the strong and dynamic relationship between their two nations.

The sides noted with satisfaction that Azerbaijani-Serbian relations, characterised by a high development dynamic, are marked by friendship and strategic partnership, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The role of the heads of state in strengthening bilateral relations and achieving their current high level was particularly emphasised.

The meeting highly appreciated the mutual support of Azerbaijan and Serbia within international organisations, especially on issues of territorial integrity and sovereignty.

It was noted that the two countries are engaged in effective cooperation in many areas, particularly in trade and economic relations, investments, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.

The meeting discussed the prospects of increasing trade turnover and mutual investments between Azerbaijan and Serbia, as well as developing cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, transport and transit, humanitarian efforts, and other areas.
