Azerbaijani Ombudsman urges more funding to repair damage from Armenian attacks

Azerbaijan's Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva has called for additional funding to repair the damage caused by Armenian missile strikes on Azerbaijani towns and district centres during the 44-day Patriotic War of 2020.

This was reflected in the Ombudsman's 2023 report, which was read out at a session of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) on February 29, Report informs.

In her report, the Ombudsman recalled that during the 2020 Patriotic War, Armenia launched missile strikes on many Azerbaijani settlements, causing significant damage to residential houses.

Aliyeva called for additional funding to repair the damage caused to citizens.
