Azerbaijani pundit upbeat about peace deal with Armenia

If Armenia accepts Azerbaijan's proposals, the signing of a peace treaty will become possible shortly.

Chairman of the Board of the Center for Analysis of International Relations (CAIR) Farid Shafiyev told Report.

According to him, after Azerbaijan submitted its proposals, now much depends on Armenia.

“Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan said yesterday that both sides are close to signing a peace treaty. This may indicate that they have accepted Azerbaijan's proposals. In this case, we will be able to sign a peace treaty soon. But if the process drags on, it will be difficult to name the exact time,” Shafiyev said.
