Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian special forces honing skills at Caucasian Eagle - 2024 joint drills PHOTO

The opening ceremony of the "Caucasian Eagle - 2024" joint exercises, involving special forces from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia, took place as per the approved plan.

The ceremony commenced with a minute of silence to honor the servicemen who sacrificed their lives in defence of the sovereignty of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia. The national anthems of the three countries were played, and their national flags were raised, the Defence Ministry's press service told Caliber.Az.

During the opening ceremony, Acting Commander of the Special Forces Major General Akif Pirverdiyev conveyed the greetings of the Ministry of Defense leadership to the personnel and wished the participants of the exercises success.

Following the official part of the ceremony, the participants were treated to a concert program titled "Caucasian Eagle, from the top to the top!".

The artistic part of the event featured performances by soloists of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, military orchestra of Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum, Baku Choreography Academy and Sema dance ensembles.
