Multiple enterprises operating inside the Armenian territory are polluting transboundary rivers that cross into Azerbaijan.
As reported by Caliber.Az, this derives from a report written by "Azerkosmos" together with an Azerbaijani environmental protection organization, which was first presented in Baku on August 25.
According to the report, the range of activities of 26 Armenian mining enterprises as well as firms, active in other industries that are operating inside the republic have significantly expanded, as well as the territory over which those span from 2017 to 2023, resulting in their accelerated pollution of the environment.
The report further notes that Azerbaijani transboundary rivers and the environment in the surrounding areas inside Armenia are heavily polluted by the waste products ejected by those enterprises.
