Fatal bus accident in eastern China: 11 dead, 13 injured
A bus collided with a group of students and parents outside a school in Tai’an city, Shandong province on September 3, resulting in the deaths of 11 people and injuring 13 others.
The students were waiting to enter the gate of a middle school, when the bus, which was specially customised for transporting students, veered out of control and crashed into them, Caliber.Az reports referring to Chinese television.
According to the public security bureau in Dongping county, the bus lost control as it entered an intersection.
The fatalities included five students and six parents.
One of the injured is in critical condition, while the others are stable, according to the police.
The bus driver has been detained by the police, and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
