Garibashvili: Georgia cannot take sides in Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict
11 November 2023 10:31
Georgia avoids taking sides in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said during a panel discussion at the Paris Peace Forum, APA reports.
He noted that Georgia has friendly relations with both countries, so it demonstrates 100 per cent neutrality.
"Georgia has relations of strategic partnership, friendly ties with Azerbaijan, as well as friendly relations with brotherly Armenia. Georgia cannot be biased, we are 100 per cent neutral and we cannot take sides in this situation. My friend Nikol Pashinyan knows this position well. I can say the same about my friend Ilham Aliyev," Garibashvili said.
The Prime Minister added that Georgia's neutrality is important for the entire region.
