Georgia holding consultations on regional peace initiative with Azerbaijan, Armenia
Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has said that Georgia is holding consultations with Azerbaijan and Armenia in connection with its "peaceful neighbourhood" initiative to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Consultations are held within the initiative on specific spheres of cooperation, Report informs, referring to Garibashvili’s annual report to the parliament.
According to the document, Georgia has unequivocally expressed its position on the "3 + 3" regional platform.
"The cooperation with Russia in this format is unacceptable as Russia holds 20 per cent of Georgian territories under occupation, neglects the obligations of the ceasefire agreement signed in 2008 and grossly violates human rights on occupied territories,” the report says.
Garibashvili will deliver a report in the parliament till late June 2022.
