Georgia signs accords with Germany, Spain to purchase hand grenade launchers

The Georgian Defence Ministry has concluded agreements with Germany and Spain on the purchase of disposable hand grenade launchers and is also negotiating with Israel on the supply of anti-drones and anti-aircraft systems.

Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze made the statement in an interview with the Georgian TV channel IMEDI on May 10,  according to TASS.

"We have already signed agreements on the purchase of disposable portable hand grenade launchers with Spanish and German companies. We are also working with [the company] Elbit, which is an Israeli company, on the procurement of anti-drones, anti-aircraft systems," he said.

The minister specified that delivery of the purchased military products will begin next year.
