Georgian delegation heading to NATO’s Vilnius summit
A Georgian delegation, led by the foreign minister, will take part in NATO’s Vilnius Summit on July 11-12.
Ilya Darchiashvili will attend a meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers, which will also be attended by the foreign ministers of Sweden (with the status of a country invited to the alliance), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Moldova, and high-ranking representatives of the EU, Caliber.Az reports, with reference to the Georgian media.
“A final declaration will be adopted at the summit, which will reflect the progress and prospects for Georgia's integration into NATO. The summit will also reaffirm the Alliance's unconditional support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Georgia's participation in the Vilnius Summit underscores the Alliance's strong support for the country's Euro-Atlantic integration and the high priority of Georgia's issue on the NATO agenda,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry says.
