Georgian parliament speaker demands apologies from Ukrainian, Moldovan leaders
19 January 2024 15:17
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili demanded that Moldovan President Maya Sandu and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskyy apologize.
This is due to the fact that both of them, according to the Georgian side, lied when they accused Georgia of torturing former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Caliber.Az reports citing Georgian media.
"We have learned from the European Committee's conclusion that President Zelenskyy, President Sandu and MEPs lied when they accused Georgia of torturing Saakashvili... So we expect these people to apologize," Georgia's Channel One reported Papuashvili as saying.
He added that many politicians in the West have disgraced themselves in front of the Georgian people and the country itself.
