Inflation rate in Türkiye to drop by over triple in 2023

The Turkish authorities intend to reduce the inflation rate by more than triple in 2023 compared to the current one, to 20%.

The announcement came from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on December 12, TRT informs.

“Obviously, within a few months, inflation will drop to 40%. I speak openly: be prepared to reduce inflation to 20% in 2023,” Erdogan said.

According to the calculations of the current year, inflation in Turkey is expected to reach 65.2%.
