Israel transfers missile warning system to Ukraine
Israel has officially transferred the long-promised early warning system for missile strikes to Ukraine, as confirmed by the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michaël Brodsky.
When asked why the system has not yet become operational, Brodsky directed inquiries to the Ukrainian side, asserting that all commitments made by Israel have been fulfilled, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The ambassador also confirmed that Tel Aviv has decided to decommission the Patriot missile systems that were supplied by the United States in the early 1990s. However, he could not clarify whether Kyiv should expect to receive any anti-aircraft missile systems.
In June, Israel opposed transferring its available Patriot systems to Ukraine amid escalating tensions with the Lebanese movement Hezbollah.
In January, Israel's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, stated that Jerusalem is working on delivering early warning systems for missile strikes and drone attacks to Ukraine.
