Israeli president condemns Jewish settlers' attack in West Bank
Israeli President Isaac Herzog has condemned an organised attack by Jewish settlers on the city of Nablus in the West Bank of the Jordan River.
He made the remarks on his Twitter page, Caliber.Az reports.
"Taking the law into our own hands, riots and violence against the innocent is not our way and I strongly condemn it. We must allow the IDF [Israel Defence Forces], Israeli police and security forces to capture the vile terrorists and restore order immediately," he wrote.
Meanwhile, IDF reported that due to the events in Nablus, two more military units have been deployed to the settlements of Yahuddiye and Samaria, and the number of checkpoints has been increased in the vicinity of Nablus.
