Kennedy Jr. eyes to lead US Central Intelligence Agency
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former US presidential candidate, has stated that if Donald Trump had won the election, he would have been willing to lead the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Kennedy made this remark during an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
When asked about the possibility, Kennedy said, "Yes, I would have become [the CIA Director], but I would never have received Senate approval."
He also emphasised that he would likely have been unable to lead the agency due to the "very influential" committees in the US Congress, for whom his candidacy would be "very dangerous."
Earlier, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s family condemned and considered his support for Donald Trump's candidacy as a betrayal. His sister, Kerry Kennedy, believes that Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz are "champions of the values my family has fought for over the years," while she views Trump as a "threat to most fundamental freedoms."
