Pathologists confirm Hezbollah leader’s death from blast-related injuries

Pathologists have found no signs of injuries on the body of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, which was retrieved by rescuers from the rubble of a collapsed building on the southern outskirts of Beirut.

The experts concluded that Nasrallah died from blunt force trauma to the head and body sustained during a powerful explosion amid the bombardment, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.

The Shiite politician, who led Hezbollah for 32 years, passed away on September 27. On September 28, the Israel Defense Forces announced that Nasrallah had been killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.   The strike occurred during a meeting of Hezbollah's leadership. On September 28, the group confirmed the death of its leader and vowed to continue its resistance against Israel.

The Iranian and Lebanese governments declared a mourning period in honour of Nasrallah.
