Minister: Sowing process in Azerbaijani liberated lands covers 50,000 hectares
Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Inam Karimov has said that the spring and autumn sowing process in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation covered an area of 50,000 hectares.
Karimov made the remarks at the Turkic business forum in Shusha city on September 16, dedicated to the restoration and development of Karabakh, Report informs.
“Instructions were given to further expand the sown areas next season, and work is currently underway in this area together with the corresponding state agencies,” the minister said.
He added that after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation, extensive construction work is being carried out in the region under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“Such big infrastructure projects as the construction of roads, airports, which are being implemented, have expanded Azerbaijan’s logistics capabilities. These opportunities can be used by regional countries, including friendly countries. The president declared the liberated territories "Green Energy Zones". Agriculture in these territories is the main economic force, the prospects for the development of the agricultural sector are great,” Karimov said.
