PM Georgia: Friendship, peaceful cooperation common goal with Azerbaijan
Friendship, peaceful cooperation and prosperity in the South Caucasus region is Georgia’s common goal with Azerbaijan.
As Caliber.Az reports, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, gave this statement on Twitter, following the visit of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev to Tbilisi.
"Glad to host President Aliyev. We discussed Georgia’s and Azerbaijan’s long-standing strategic partnership, perspectives and huge potential. Friendship, peaceful cooperation and prosperity in the region is our common goal", the Prime Minister wrote.
Caliber.Az recalls, that President Aliyev travelled to Georgia on October 24, where he visited the "Heritage of Karabakh Khanate" exhibition at Château Mukhrani in Mtskheta. During the following joint press conference by the heads of state, Garibashvili expressed his support for Aliyev’s initiative on creating a cooperation format in the South Caucasus which was suggested in Prague.
