Religious leaders from Turkic countries to meet in Azerbaijan
On August 11, the chairman of the Board of Muslims of the Caucasus, Allahshukur Pashazade, received Secretary-General of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTG) Baghdad Amreyev.
Pashazade expressed gratitude for the fraternal support provided to Azerbaijan by the OTG led by Amreyev during the 44-day Patriotic War, and also thanked the Turkic states for sharply condemning the recent vandal attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in London, Report informs citing the Board of Muslims of the Caucasus.
Amreyev noted that he considers it an honour to meet with the religious leader of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus, and stressed that he highly appreciates Pashazade's personality and activities.
He emphasised that Pashazade, who is the author of the initiative to create the Council of Muslim Religious Leaders of the OTG member countries, made a great contribution to the implementation of this idea.
The guest spoke about the upcoming November summit of the OTG member countries in Uzbekistan and informed about what work is planned to be done during this meeting. B.Amreyev stressed the importance of the meeting of Muslim religious leaders of the OTG member countries, which will be held in Azerbaijan in October, and expressed confidence that this meeting will be held at a high level.
