Russia promises retaliatory measures in response to US media restrictions Foreign ministry official says

Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry has said that her country is formulating retaliatory measures in response to recent US restrictions imposed on Russian media.

Zakharova indicated that the Russian government has already conducted political assessments regarding the US sanctions and is now working on developing appropriate countermeasures, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media. 
"The Russian executive branch is reacting, all political assessments have been given. As for the response measures, they will be developed," Zakharova stated.

This response follows the US authorities' imposition of restrictions affecting Russian media outlets.

On September 13, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced new sanctions targeting Russian media entities, including Rossiya Segodnya, ANO TV-Novosti, and the NGO Eurasia. In response, Zakharova stressed the necessity for a unified reaction from Russian society to these unjust restrictions.
