29 September 2024 10:17

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has commented on the potential for upcoming negotiations between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Russia.

“Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan should make a decision regarding a meeting during the BRICS or CIS events in Russia,” he stated, adding that Moscow is ready to fulfill its obligations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

A meeting of leaders of the CIS member states is scheduled to take place in Moscow in early October, followed by the BRICS summit in late October.

The BRICS summit will be held in Russia’s Kazan city from October 22 to 24, featuring nine participating countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, the UAE, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia.
