SOCAR Türkiye makes donation in "Türkiye, One Heart" aid campaign

SOCAR Türkiye, a subsidiary of the Azerbaijan State Oil Company (SOCAR), donated 3.5 million Turkish liras ($185,000) as part of the "Türkiye, One Heart" aid campaign.

Report informs that during a live broadcast initiated by Azerbaijani and Turkish TV channels on February 15, the Head of the Communications and Public Relations Department of SOCAR Türkiye Mikayil Yusifov announced the donation.

According to him, the scale of the tragedy is too great to be expressed in words. The SOCAR representative once again expressed that Türkiye and Azerbaijan are two states, one nation.

Within the framework of the “Türkiye, One Heart” aid campaign, Azerbaijan Television and Azerbaijan Radio began joint broadcasting with television and radio channels of Türkiye and Northern Cyprus in order to call people for volunteer financial assistance to earthquake victims in the brotherly country.

During the broadcast, an appeal is made to the world community to make donations to help overcome the aftermath of the February 6 earthquakes in Türkiye.

The collected funds are transferred to the accounts of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Turkish Red Crescent Society.
