Syria: 5.4 magnitude quake recorded in Idlib
17 February 2023 09:36
A 5.4 magnitude earthquake has been recorded in the Syrian province of Idlib.
Seismologists note that the epicentre of the earthquake was located 61 kilometres from the region's administrative centre, Idlib, on February 16, SANA reports.
The city, as well as nearly the entire province, is under the control of terrorist organizations such as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, as well as secular anti-government groups opposed to Damascus; as a result, there is no reliable information about earthquake victims in the Turkish border from there. According to militant and opposition-controlled media, over 2,000 bodies have been discovered since February 6.
